Life With Jesus
Finding a church is hard.
You have questions, expectations, and doubts.
Should I follow Jesus with a church or just try it on my own? Can I find real answers about life? Is there any hope for racial reconciliation? Is there a place my whole family can grow?
Josh loves Waxahachie. He brings years of practical ministry experience helping people follow the real Jesus in real life. He spent most of his adult life working outside of the church office in the Aerospace Industry.
In 2010 Josh left his career in the Pacific Northwest to begin training for ministry at Redeemer Seminary in Dallas. In 2015 he was hired by Community Life Church to pastor and subsequently led the church through a period of revitalization. In October 2016 the church reemerged as Soma Waxahachie.
Josh has been married to Dana for 17 years. They’re raising 2 beautiful children, Noah and Eve. Together they enjoy serving their neighbors in Waxahachie's Eastside.
Jeremy has worked in gospel ministry serving kids for over 9 years in a number of churches across Texas. Jeremy joined Soma Waxahachie in January 2018 to lead in the development of our discipleship programing for our children and their parents. In the next year Jeremy's role will transition over to a two year church planting residency. Upon completion of his residency Jeremy will be sent out to gather a new community of disciples somewhere else in Ellis County.
Jeremy attended Baylor University where he earned his undergraduate degree in Communications and he received a Master of Arts in Youth Ministry from Howard Payne.
Jeremy is daddy to Jace and soon-to-be-husband to Sarah Jane.

Beliefs shape the way we view the world and live in it. They are more than a statement to agree with or a label to assign.
At Soma Waxahachie, we believe Jesus is good news for our city. His grace gives room to belong as you explore what it means to follow Him together.
We are committed to The Lausanne Covenant Statement of Faith.
Soma Waxahachie holds to six core theological emphases:
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is central for our motivation and practice.
God acts sovereignly in saving sinners.
The continuing presence of the Holy Spirit equips and empowers his people.
Jesus is King and his kingdom is come.
All believers are sent on Jesus’ mission to make disciples.
God created men and women as equal and complementary image bearers of God.
Our beliefs don't just inform how we think. They tell us who we are and how we should live. Beliefs write a story for our lives. And the story that Jesus is writing for us gives us a new identity and new way of being human.
Share your story, ask a question, or meet up for coffee. We’d love to hear from you as you look for a church home.
